It’s definitely a musical day here at RPS Primary as we join another class for music; only this time, the children are playing the Xylophone.
The xylophone is a musical instrument in the percussion family that consists of wooden bars struck by mallets. Like the glockenspiel, the xylophone essentially consists of a set of tuned wooden keys arranged in the fashion of the keyboard of a piano.
The children are enjoying this instrument and are focussed on mastering the techniques required to playing the xylophone to a good standard. We took some pictures of our avid musicians in the making, which can be seen in the gallery here. Please click on the thumbnails for a larger view.
