Year 5 and 6 collaborated with Year 2 children in a cross-curricular project utilising knowledge and skills learnt in their science and DT unit this term. Year 5/6 children created a model of a habitat for their half-term project and they assisted children from year 2 to construct their chosen habitat to end their study on ‘Habitats from Around the World’.
The Year 2 children were very articulate in discussing the types of animals and plants found in different habitats, giving pertinent reasons as to why they are suited to that particular environment. We also have some pictures below of our Year 5 and 6 Science Ambassadors peer mentoring Year 3 and 4 children on Developing Experts. Please click on the thumbnails for a larger view.
