On Monday 5th December, Rotherhithe Primary School will embark on an extremely enlightening journey into the world of Carbon footprints and creating a green environment.
Sponsored by The Green Schools Project, the Carbon Zero Club will start a 26-week programme to uncover the school’s own carbon footprint and what steps it can take to reduce it. The club will meet every Monday after school to learn how to monitor and measure our carbon output and look at many possibilities available to us to radically reduce it and become a greener school.
Green Schools Project supports schools to develop an adequate response to the climate and ecological crisis. We help students to lead projects, we deliver teacher training sessions, and we support schools to reduce their carbon emissions with a focus on the learning opportunities provided by this process.
We will be following the progress of our new team for all things green so keep checking back for updates.
