RPS’s Science Club had our first session this week. Our task was to research different trees and decide which tree would be planted. We researched the 10 different trees to find which ones would match the people’s requests.
The requests needed a tree with lots of shade, a tree that can provide homes for animals, and a tree that is native to the UK. In the end, there were only 4 trees left that were suitable. I learned that not all trees that grows in England are native to England such as the Sweet Chestnut tree originated from abroad.
Next week, we will be conducting a survey to gather more opinions about the most suitable tree to plant in our school.
