To prepare our pupils for future life, we encourage pupils to take on roles of responsibility within the school, one of them being the role of an Arts Ambassador. This position is open for pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 with a representative from each class.
Our Arts Ambassadors show commitment to their role and give up their own time to carry out their duties. The role of the Arts Ambassador is to help with the smooth running of Arts across the school. They meet regularly to have their voice heard with an emphasis on how to develop the Arts and promote each Art form.
We aim to provide exciting opportunities for the Arts Ambassadors to visit other schools within the borough, assist in organising Arts Week and represent pupil voice. This helps develop ideas- keeping our Arts curriculum vivid and varied.
Our Arts Ambassadors are selected for their passion, interest and skills.
This year’s Arts Ambassador duties include:
- To participate in school assemblies
- To create a pupil questionnaire to gather pupil feedback on Arts within RPS, administering the questionnaire, collating the results and analysing feedback.
- Assisting in the organisation of an Arts Week
- To judge competition artwork
- To take photographs in Art Sessions as practical evidence
- To support in organising Art resources
