The children had a Remembrance Day assembly today. They were very respectful during our 2 minute silence to remember those that fought and lost their lives for our democracy.
About Remembrance Day:
Every year the country comes together for Remembrance Sunday. A period of silence is held at 11am to remember the people who have died in wars around the world. Remembrance Day – is on Saturday this year – and marks the actual day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918.
Poppies and other Remembrance Day items are on sale in the school. If you would like to buy a poppy, please come and see us in the school office. All monies raised will go to the British Legion.
