Dear Parents & Carers
Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you enjoy spending time with your loved ones.
We have passed the shortest day of the year and despite the recent storms I’ve noticed bulbs coming up in the garden and some blossoms appearing on trees – spring is on its way!
Children have continued to work hard this week and have enjoyed our internet safety workshops. I would like to thank Anthony (Computing Lead) for organising this very important and engaging day.
Reception classes welcomed parents this morning, who came to share books with their children during their reading café. Thank you to all parents who attend these sessions – the children love it.
It was fantastic listening to the progress that our brass band are making. From being total beginners they are really developing their confidence and competence as performers.
As we head increasingly closer to the SATs period we will start running mock SATs activities for year 2 and 6. We will also run a mock phonics screening check for year 1. Year 4 children will be completing a times table check online this year, so please make sure they are using Times Table Rocks regularly. Please do attend the SATs parent workshops. See below.
Have a fantastic half term. See you bright and early on the 24th February.
