

Rotherhithe Primary School is very passionate about recycling and sustainability. We have a wonderful area behind our Key stage 1 classrooms that is being utilised for planting and cultivating our own vegetables that will be used in the kitchen for our lunches. In September, we will have a team of gardeners here to help us get started and soon we will be able to harvest the bountiful array of delicious produce grown right here from soil to kitchen.
To get the beds started, we have planted some wild flowers, which are already attracting bees and birds. We are all looking forward to our “Edible Rotherhithe” Garden and to tasting the future fruits of our labour.
