Today is “Be Unique Day” and Rotherhithe Primary School is awash with the beautiful colours of the Rainbow. As part of Pride Month this June, Rotherhithe Primary School will be celebrating “Be Unique Day 2023”. Children were asked to attend school dressed in something that makes them unique.
For a £1.00 donation, children came to school wearing something Rainbow Coloured or something that they have created themselves that shows their uniqueness as well as their craft skills. Throughout the day, children from each year group will be creating art related to this very special day. You can see the many different designs in the galleries offered below.

Nursery Class:
In Nursery Class, the children have been tasked with creating rainbow coloured fish, either with paint or as a decorative collage.
Reception Classes:
Our Reception children have been tasked with creating rainbow coloured fish, either with paint, decorative collages or with etching paper, which reveals rainbow colours from a black main background.
Year 1 and 2:
Year 1 are busy making rainbows using squares of coloured paper built on a semi circle. They are focussed and enjoying their work as you can see. For Year 2 classes we are also making rainbow shapes; however, this time on cork half moons.
Year 3:
Our Year 3 children have been tasked with creating a card hosting all the colours of the Rainbow and a beautiful message for the recipient telling them why they are so unique and special.
Year 4 and 5:
For Year 4 and 5, the classes have been creating special messages of kindness and love on wooden discs, wooden hearts and large stone pebbles. They look really wonderful. Look out for those on our stalls on Friday 30th June. They will make a lovely gift for a special friend or family member.
Year 6:
For Year 6, the classes have been creating special messages of kindness and love on wooden discs. The children came up with some very thoughtful messages for the recipient of this great gift to read and think about.
