It’s LGBTQ History Month this month and to finalise the celebrations, today is Rainbow Dayhere at Rotherhithe Primary School.
LGBT History Month is an annual month-long observance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history, and the history of the gay rights and related civil rights movements. It was founded in 1994 by Missouri high-school history teacher Rodney Wilson.
On Rainbow Day we have asked children to come to school dressed in the colours of the rainbow and to be as imaginative as they can with their costume choice to help support LGBTQ on this day.
We took some pictures of our amazing children, which can be seen in the gallery below. Please click on the thumbnails for a larger view.
