It’s another fantastic Friday today; however, this is an extra special Friday as it’s also St George’s Day today!
Every year on April 23, Britons honour St George’s Day by flying English flags and holding street parties and parades to celebrate one of the UK’s most known patron saints. The day falls on the anniversary of St George’s death and was previously a national holiday that was celebrated as widely as Christmas.
We had our own St George’s Day celebration today, which included the children wearing red and white clothing to signify the red and white of the English flag. We took a few pictures of the children today, which can be seen in the gallery below.
