Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport. It runs for seven years, from 2014 to 2020, with organisations invited to apply for funding each year to undertake creative and worthwhile activities. Erasmus+ aims to modernise education, training and youth work across Europe. It is open to education, training, youth and sport organisations across all sectors of lifelong learning, including school education, further and higher education, adult education and the youth sector. It offers exciting opportunities for UK participants to study, work, volunteer, teach and train abroad. This section of the website contains information about the programme itself, how you can participate and the benefits of getting involved. Find out more about how Erasmus+ is run.
What a welcome
The team were made very welcome as they visited the “Instituto Comprensivo Statale Frosinone”, which is equivelent to an Infant School in the UK. The children create a beautiful piece of art for our team, which can be seen in the gallery below. The team even made the local news and were announced as VIP visitors at the local football stadium, which they also visited in their travels. Our girls felt very honoured as they were paraded around this beautiful picturesque part of Italy.
Erasmus+ in the UK
The Department for Education oversees Erasmus+ in the UK. The programme is managed by the UK National Agency which is a partnership between the British Council and Ecorys UK. We work to deliver the programme for the benefit of participating UK organisations, and the individuals who are able to study, train, volunteer or gain work experience abroad through the programme.
You can find out more on our New to Erasmus+ webpage, including an overview of the programme and the funding opportunities for 2018. You can also download our our brochures and refer to our Key resources page.
