Year 6 enjoyed an engaging and purposeful morning of Numeracy, where they took part in a live ‘Would You Rather?’ webinar, encouraging them to think critically and justify their answers using mathematical reasoning.
Pupils also explored financial literacy through practical activities, including budgeting for a school fête, which allowed them to apply their understanding of money in a real‑life context. They further investigated how numeracy is used in hobbies and sports, and developed their problem‑solving skills by comparing prices to find the best value for money.
Throughout the morning, the children worked collaboratively, demonstrating strong communication skills and enthusiasm for applying mathematics in meaningful and relevant ways.
