Year 3 have been learning about prehistoric art and exploring the features that prehistoric paintings have in common.
The children studied animal drawings and learned how to identify basic shapes to help them achieve accurate proportions in their own artwork. They also discussed and described why prehistoric people often painted animals, linking their artwork to their historical understanding. This lesson encouraged careful observation, creativity, and thoughtful discussion.
