One of our Parents very kindly joined our Reception children today to teach them how to make a delicious Spanish dish, Tostadas. Tostadas and tacos are comparable in that they both consist of a tortilla with toppings, but there is one key difference: Tostadas are always served open-faced. They might also be made with a thicker tortilla than your typical taco.
Our Tostadas were topped with spicy chilli beef, guacamole, cheese and sour cream. As you can see from the pictures below, the children really got stuck into preparing this wonderful dish and obviously tucked into the fruits of their labour afterwards.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing parent for coming in and spending such quality time with our children.
Muchas Gracias!
