What a deliciously festive day Year 1 had!
Today, our youngest bakers took part in a fantastic cooking session to prepare some goodies for the upcoming Christmas Fair. Thanks to our wonderful parent volunteers, the air in the school kitchen was filled with the sweet scent of Christmas as they made Italian Christmas biscuits!
The children loved getting hands-on with every step of the process:
- Measuring: Carefully counting out ingredients.
- Stirring: Mixing the dough to perfection.
- Rolling: Shaping the biscuits with care.
- Baking: Watching their creations turn golden.
- Decorating: Adding the final, festive touches!
This wonderful session not only helped stock the fair but also gave the children a memorable, hands-on learning experience in following instructions, measuring, and teamwork.
