Year 6 pupils showcased their culinary creativity this week as they completed their highly anticipated “Come Dine With Me” challenge, impressing a panel of judges made up of Science and Art Ambassadors, as well as several visiting adults. The event brought together cooking skills, sustainability awareness and thoughtful presentation—resulting in dishes that were as impressive to look at as they were to taste.
Their menus showcased a thoughtful balance of:
- Fresh and wholesome ingredients
- Environmentally‑responsible choices, such as low‑waste recipes and plant‑based elements
- Creative presentation techniques inspired by their art lessons
The event proved to be a fitting finale to the project, bringing together learning from science, design technology and art in a memorable and meaningful way. Year 6 should be incredibly proud of their achievements—they certainly rose to the challenge, delivering dishes that were as thoughtful as they were tasty.
