Today, Year 4 stepped into the world of digital creativity as they learned how to edit photographs using professional‑style tools. The classroom was transformed into a mini design studio as pupils experimented with cropping, rotating, and applying a range of filters to transform ordinary images into eye‑catching works of art.
The session began with a demonstration on how to adjust a photo’s composition. Pupils quickly picked up the technique of cropping, discovering how removing unnecessary background details tcould bring focus to the most important parts of an image. They then moved on to rotating and straightening, gaining an understanding of how small adjustments can change the mood and balance of a picture.
However, the biggest excitement came when pupils explored digital filters. From warm, vintage tones to bold, vibrant colours, Year 4 experimented enthusiastically, comparing how different effects could dramatically alter the atmosphere of a photo.
