On Monday we celebrated all things Spanish. John (Spanish Lead) and Aaliyah (Spanish teacher) delivered an assembly about the famous Spanish architect and designer – Antoni Gaudi. Gaudi buildings are a must see for anyone lucky enough to visit the wonderful city of Barcelona. They focussed particularly on ‘Park Guell’, an imaginative construction that uses lots of decorative mosaics to create a most distinctive park.
Children across the school created their own mosaic pictures inspired by Gaudi. Their designs are amazing! Aaliyah also taught the children some Spanish phrases and to sing a song in Spanish. The children really enjoyed their lessons and they looked fantastic dressed up on the day.
Thanks to John and Aaliyah for organising this day.
