As part of our ‘Safer Internet Day’, the children were treated to the ultimate internet safety show. The show followed the characters Milly & Philip as they learnt how to stay safe online.
The children then took part in a series of fun, interactive and engaging workshops. The children found the workshops relevant and relatable as they were equipped with essential information and strategies to stay safe online.
The main topics covered were:
- SOCIAL MEDIA
- ONLINE GAMES
- ONLINE REPUTATION
- SHARING IMAGES
- CYBERBULLYING
- PERSONAL INFORMATION
- STRANGERS ONLINE
Monitoring children’s use of phones, social media and games is essential as they are very vulnerable on these forums. Please take time to look at the following website https://www.saferinternet.org.uk/safer-internet-day/safer-internet-day-2020/i-am-parent-or-carer as this has activities, and information to help parents and carers talk to their children about how to navigate the issue of online identity in a digital age in a safe, responsible and respectful way.
