About our Play Leaders:
Rotherhithe Primary School is proud to present it’s Play Leaders who work tirelessly to make sure that ever child at Rotherhithe has a fun, safe and enjoyable playtime. A play leader in school is typically an older student (often Year 3-6) who’s role is to facilitate, and supervise games and activities during lunchtimes and breaks.
A Play leader is responsible for developing, planning and organising play activities for children using these activities to help children to develop socially and emotionally. setting up play equipment and making sure play areas are safe. They promote inclusive, active play, teach traditional games, and ensure a safe, friendly environment, helping to reduce loneliness and foster positive social interactions.
