Early Years children have been having some fun reading time this week. They have read a wonderful book called “The Odd Egg”. They had a fantastic surprise one morning when they came into class and see that the duck from the book had written them a letter. In the letter, the duck had told the children that he had found some eggs in his garden and wanted the children to look after them. He didn’t know what type of eggs they were. They could be duck eggs, chicken eggs or even crocodile eggs! We shall have to wait and see. The children have stored the eggs in their class incubator.
Letter Writing:
The children enjoyed the latter that they received from the duck so much that they were inspired to write their own letters about a subject of their choice. We took some pictures of this workshop, which can be seen in the gallery below.
