During the summer term our mixed age forest school group were lucky enough to learn about bee keeping. The bee keeper showed us how bees were kept, where they make the honey , and how the bee keepers collect the honey safely. We all wore bee keeping suits to protect us.
The children had an amazing time and were very courageous as although Bees are very important to the environment, they can be a bit scary! We took some pictures of the new Bee Keeping team, which can be seen in the gallery below. Please click on the thumbnails for a larger view.
