Friday the 8th of May marks the 75th anniversary of VE Day. At 9am, The Queen will address the nation and there will be a live stream on the BBC, this is the exact same time that her father, King George VI, spoke to the UK 75 years ago. We invite you to join us on for a minute silence at 11am and then listen to this recording of The Last Post which Mr Wales, our brass teacher, has recorded for us so that we may pay tribute just as communities did 75 years ago.
Many people will be having ‘stay at home’ street parties and decorating themselves and their homes in red, white and blue to celebrate.
Here are some activities and resources to help you to do the same if you’d like to participate.
