Many of our year 6 children left behind teary eyed family members on Monday as they headed off to the adventures that awaited them at Condover Hall in Shrewsbury.
After a long coach journey the excited children arrived and got stuck into a jam-packed timetable of activities including kayaking, abseiling, trapeze, orienteering, aerial trek, and lazer maze to name just a few. Some children, and adults have had to overcome their fear of heights. I am sure the children will remember fondly the cries of Donna (Teaching Assistant) for a very long time!
They have had a truly fantastic time and parents will no doubt notice their childrens new found maturity and independence. Luckily the children have had beautiful weather once again. Last night they rounded off their adventures with a fun party. We are sure the children will need a good rest after such an active time.
We thank all the staff that have made this trip possible: Tom, Donna, Kofi and Lucy. We hope you enjoy a well-earned rest during the half term.
We thank the Amicable Society for donating £5,000 to subsidise this trip.
