Year 6 school council reps visited Dog Kennel Hill Primary School (DKH) on Monday 11th December. While there,
they were introduced to DKH’s year 6 school council reps. They had a few nibbles and drinks before getting to business.
Both school councils then interviewed Southwark’s mayor councilor Charlie Smith. The mayor was inaugurated in May this year. The children asked him a range of thoughtful questions, such as‘How is a school council different to a real council?’ ‘What are the roles and responsibilities of a mayor?’.
Thanks go to Nina Hall who leads the School Council and organised this visit.
