The children were given a tour of the bank and were taught about investment banking. They then engaged in a range of activities around investing in the stock market. The children were provided with 4 (made up companies) and had to choose which company to invest in.
Within groups they had to learn to calculate profits from share increases, deal with 6 figure numbers, and work as a team to solve problems. They then had to present to an audience – attempting to convince them that they had chosen the best company to invest in. The children were amazing. They received a compliment in terms of their behavior around the bank ‘best school’.
Well done Mayflower Class!
