I would like to wish all parents and children a Happy New Year. I am really pleased to see our children back with positive attitudes and in full school uniform. We hope you had a restful holiday and enjoyed quality family time together.
During assembly on Tuesday I talked to the children about New Year Resolutions and Alex Leach (year 6) eloquently explained to the school that a new year resolution is an aim or goal that we set for ourselves to achieve in the coming year.
I discussed with children an idea of setting a resolution of finding something to be grateful for each day. When focused on grateful thoughts we become far more positive and this is an ambition I believe we can all work to achieve.
So, I invite parents to discuss gratitude with their children every day and I am sure we will look forward to a fantastic new year.

Piglet noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude.
