On Friday a group of year 6 children worked with the Childhood Trust to complete a short film clip for their Christmas Challenge campaign. The Childhood Trust is a children’s charity that helps vulnerable children to overcome the disadvantages caused by poverty such as hunger, homelessness, stress, loneliness and anxiety. Their work supports children from across London and is aimed at engaging the most disadvantaged children.
The Childhood Trust’s network of over 150 projects provides practical, emotional and inspirational support delivered by trusted, caring adults. These projects help children to achieve their full potential, despite facing many challenges.
The trust’s Christmas Challenge campaign will raise funds to support children throughout 2020 and will be promoted on social media and the news media. It is due to be released on the 3rd December. Well done to all the children who took part in the filming. Laurence Guinness (Chief Executive of the trust) reported that the children were amazing and was very grateful for their support.
Galiema recently delivered a presentation at the London Charity Poverty Summit as she is on the trust’s board. Her presentation was also very well received. She will continue with this invaluable work to tackle childhood poverty. Well done Galiema.
