Dear Parents,
As part of our Easter Celebration we will be holding an Easter Bonnet competition. Children will be asked to design an Easter Bonnet at home and bring this into school on Wednesday 28th March. Bonnets will then be judged by school council and a prize will be given to the best Easter Bonnet in each Key Stage.
The children will wear their bonnets during assembly in the Junior Hall, KS1 at 11:00am and KS2 at 11:30am. EYFS will parade their bonnets in class, Nursery at 11:30am and Reception at 10:30am. Parents are very welcome to attend the assembly for a fee of £1.
Tickets will be available for purchase from your child’s class teacher from Monday 19th March. Any parents who are unable to attend the assembly, will be able to view the pictures on the school website.
We thought it would be fun for parents to get involved in this with the children at home and therefore the children can choose whichever design they like.
It can be a traditional bonnet or maybe a baseball cap or indeed decorating your child’s favourite dressing up hat, the choice is endless! For further help and ideas we have included a couple of websites for you to look at.
We very much look forward to seeing all the Easter Bonnet creations!
