  • Resilient
  • and Empathetic

As part of the Young Readers Programme, years 3 & 4 visited Surrey Quays this week to complete Story telling activities. They made masks, received free books and were told stories from a story teller called Tony. The children were given the opportunity to act and had a thoroughly enjoyable and inspiring time in the sunshine. Children returned to school desperate to get reading their books. Salma from Kon Tiki class said the children walked safely and most were sensible, although a few were a bit over-excited. Ola really enjoyed making masks. We hope this events are motivating your children to read every day at home.RPS have signed up to the National Literacy Trust’s Young Readers Programme. This includes events designed to motivate the children to read, story telling next week!

As part of this programme children were allowed to choose a free book on Thursday 25th May, whilst enjoying a drink and biscuit in the sunshine. We hope our books worms were kept busy reading during the half term holiday.
